Directions to SRC
From the Dane County Airport (~ 15 miles)
Follow the airport access road out of the parking area. At the first light, turn left onto Anderson St. You will pass the Madison Area Technical College (MATC) on your left. At the next light, turn right onto Highway 51 South (Stoughton Rd). Stay on Highway 51 South for a total of about 12 miles. About 4 miles out of McFarland, you will pass County Highway B. You will see a large green “Synchrotron Radiation Center” sign. Take the next right turn onto Schneider Drive. At the top of the hill, take a left into the first entrance. Go straight to the SRC parking area.
From Madison/Campus (~ 12 miles)
Head south on Park St. Turn left onto Regent St. Regent St. turns into Proudfit St. when you pass W. Washington Avenue. Turn right onto John Nolen Dr. Travel about 2 miles. Merge onto 12/18 East on the left. Take exit 266 for Highway 51 South toward McFarland. Turn right onto Highway 51 South. Continue on Highway 51 South through McFarland. About 4 miles out of McFarland, you will pass County Highway B. You will see a large green "Synchrotron Radiation Center" sign. Take the next right turn onto Schneider Drive. At the top of the hill, take a left into the first entrance. Go straight to the SRC parking area.
From Chicago/Minneapolis/Milwaukee on I-90
From I-90, take the Highway 12/18 West exit. Take the Stoughton Rd. exit off of 12/18 (first exit). Turn onto Highway 51 South towards Stoughton. Continue on Highway 51 South through McFarland. About 4 miles out of McFarland, you will pass County Highway B. You will see a large green “Synchrotron Radiation Center” sign. Take the next right turn onto Schneider Drive. At the top of the hill, take a left into the first entrance. Go straight to the SRC parking area.
Parking
SRC is located south of Physical Science Labs (PSL). There is parking in front of the SRC building. If there is no parking available, overflow parking is in front of PSL (as you enter).
